I just got a SIIG firewire PCIe card. Apparently some PCIe slots are powered and some are not? The SIIG card has the option of powering by using a standard power connector directly to the card. The directions say you may or may not nreed that. So my question is if it's receiving power from 2 sources will this thing start cooking? Just not sure what to do. The mobo is whatever came stock with the Dell Precision 690. Thanks!!
