Vista ugh ..

This maybe a dumb question but I am using a Toshiba laptop with Vista and SAW keeps crashing......are there any tweaks......and or is Win 7 any friendlier to SAW..??

Vista should work fine... but... I suggest using the Windows Clasic theme for many reasons... not the least of which is the removal of the Windows Border Padding option which could be causing your crashes due to the window pixels being offset by 6 pixels a side.

I am still with win7 beta 7100 but obviously the performance of SS in Win7 is better than that of in Vista.....

The fix worked great and the program seems to be bulletproof. The use of the "classic theme" cured the crash.
Am running for now with a "vanilla" soundcard on my Toshiba laptop, and a Yamaha PA mixer....
For learning sessions it's great and inexpensive. I am not sure if I can engineer my own stuff.....
Too many hats and all that....we'll see
