Ctrl-delete in Select Mode

So, I started like this...

...hoping to have the unselected entries on track 3 move so that the start of 'em is where the start of the selected entries is, while the selected disappear. The first selected entry is the key entry. I hit ctrl+DEL, and here's what happens..

They didn't quite make it as far to the left as I'd hoped. Why would this be?

Dave,

The gaps between entries are not included in the pull forward... only the resulting distance of the actual region enties.

You can use the mark area and Ctrl-DEL and that should pull the whole distance.
