Those unselectable undeletable MWS notes

Stumbled onto this today. Controller is Casio Privia Px-200. Recording along fine in MWS for hours. Stopped to audition what a piano/string layer would sound like so I used the layer mode on the Casio. Went back to record in MWS but forgot to turn off layer mode. Got those crazy eternal notes. Can duplicate it everytime in layer mode. I think this may be a clue as to what causes those notes. I've run across them randomly before but now I can make them whenever I want.:confused: Hope this helps Andy

This ALWAYS happens to me when my controller sends on more than one midi channel at the same time....check your controller and see if thats your issue as well...

No clue needed... MWS expects to see data on 1 midi chan only... multiple midi chans will send overlapping note ons and offs that will cause stuck notes.

You can use multi-chan mode and record multi-chans at once and the different chans will be auto-split out to different tracks.
