removing extra space in the intro ?

I have a song that is automated and mixed but I have about 7 sec's of dead space in the intro ( prior to the mt entries ) I would like to remove this.

I have tried moving the mt's then the automation but they wont line up , turned on the grid and snap but no luck.

Is there an easy way to do this ??? or just edit the mixed sound file ??

Select all active tracks in the EDL - click on the track number button (Alt click to select a range)

Select (B/E, or click drag in time-line) the entire song, be sure to include any automation the slightly precedes the first region.

Move cursor to the beginning of the MT (or wherever you want the song to start).

Right-click in the track label area and select "Slip Track to Cursor on current Layer" (or, if there are many layers chose that option).
