I received this e-mail today (as I'm assuming all Melodyne users did):

Dear Richard Rupert,
This year, Celemony will once again be represented at the NAMM Show (January 13-16) in Anaheim - this time at a different place and with a smaller line-up. You will find us at Hall A, Booth 6825, which is that of our American distributor, Music Marketing, and where many product specialists as well as our Head of Support, Jörg Hüttner, will be happy to answer all your questions about Melodyne.
If you're visiting the NAMM Show, be sure to drop in. We look forward to seeing you.
Kindest regards,
all at Celemony

Those of you who are attending NAMM should visit Jörg and register in person our dismay that the new Editor plugin does not work in SAWStudio. Who knows... maybe the squeaky wheels will get some grease...? It certainly can't hurt.

I petitioned Jörg several times via e-mail and reported his responses here. His claim that Melodyne "is too small a company" to service "all" DAWs is a bit lame, considering he wasn't even willing to open a dialog with Bob to try to suss out the problem. Without a discourse, it's impossible for him to know that it's not a simple fix.

It is interesting that they would have really about a dozen or so DAWs to support all in all... and that is too much for them... yet... I am a one man company and it's ok to imagine that it is my obligation to support thousands and thousands of different VST plugins... each with many different interpretations on the VST spec.

A simple conversation might be all it would take to find out what changed in their new product that broke what used to work fine in SAWStudio... my code did not change.

So... maybe dial him up, Bob? :)

He sent me an NFR to test and see what I find.

That sounds like really great news! :) What's an NFR?

Well, great! I'm "cautiously optimistic". :) Good luck, Bob! (And thanks!)
