Hi

I'm trying to recreate an effect from one of my all time favorite effect units, the TC 2290 delay.

Besides being a pioneer in tap'ed delay it also introduced the posibility of attenuating the delayed signal when the source signal is present, so that you get that tailing delay effect.

Now i'm trying to to this with the native delay plugin. Would I was planing to do, was to route the plugin trough a compressor using the source signal as the key, but don't seem to find a way to do that in SAWlite.
For one I can't use a differnt key in the compressor, so I might have to use a reversed gate.
I also don't have a compressor on the return channel :-)
Then I could insert the levelizer. It will take a diffent key-channel, but on the return channel I can only choose A, B and self.

Any ideas for finding a work around for this, or maybe a diffent delay plugin :-)

Maybe Bob could add this function when he's updating the plugin's. I'd love to have it within the plugin to make it easier to use wth SAC also.

When we're at the withlist, I hope that one day the Zoom Mixer will be included in SAWlite :-) I think that this is the one feature that I miss in SAWlite and it's really hard to work without when you're used to SAC.
I just can't justify buing the more expensive version :-(

Hi

Actually I just found this one:

It works, but I find it a bit bulky to work with.

I'm still very interested in your suggestions.

Nice find.
There is nice work around in SawStudio - search the forum (can't find it now).

What I found amazing was a key concept to modern day's Melodyne that was posted back in 2005!!

You can use the Levelizer on multiple chans and create any kind of chan key by sending the key chans to A and keying from A on the return.

Bob LHow do you "send the key channels to A"?

How do you "send the key channels to A"?
Assign a Levelizer to the track you want to key from. In the Levelizer interface, look at the third column. At the bottom you'll see the send box. Choose A. Then assign another Levelizer to the track you want to effect. Again, in the third column, at the top, choose A in the Key box.
