what version of Melodyne will work with SawStudio?

I'm using the current version of Melodyne Assistant. No problems...just remember to keep the engine in Live Mode and you won't crash it.

so all i need to do is turn on the live mode and it will work?

Yes....the VST will cause SAWStudio to crash now and again if you run it outside of Live mode.
