basic question SAW

i am a new user. sorry for that question, but:
i am doing a 8h recording session. now i will copy only one song from the session to a separate multitrack file.
i can´t anything find in the manual and my english is not soo good.

Welcome. You want to mark an area with B and E or by dragging in the timeline and then use the extract function. You might want to get a basic mix going in the original edl before you extract. When you extract, a new edl will be created with mix settings from the original.

i was confused, that B&E higlights only one channel.
now it works.

The marked section affects the entire timeline operation even though the display only shows on the current active track.

That works in the same way for many timeline functions.
