Hi Bob

When ever I make a video and audio recording in the multitrack,
I got this "trouble building video graf" message when pause or stop recording.
The good thing is that the actually video file is on the harddisk and it´s easy
to open and line op against the audio files again.

Doing capturing in the video viewer only, I don´t get this message, so I guess
that it is not a pal related thing or a missing codec.

I am not sure about when this message began to pop up, but I think I saw
it around november last year doing a session.

Do I understand that this only happens when you are doing a simultaneous MT recording and video capture at the same time?

Yes, very strange
I have taken a dvcam machine with me home, and will
try to see if I can find out what´s causing this thing.

I have now done some recording tests,
I recorded 10 min starting from timeline 0,
after stopping I got the warning  , I moved the
cursor a little bit and did a new 10 min recording,
after stopping no warning  ,
Then I deleate all regions, place the cursor at the
begining of timeline again, and did some short recordings
without being able to duplicate the problem :) .

I close the session and started again, by placing the cursor
10 min in on the timeline, and recorded some minutes.
After stopping I got the warning,
I made a lot of short recordings without being able to get
rid of the warning.

The only thing I notice is that the video file is longer than the
audio files.

I have been having a possibly related problem. Mine occurs when switching between EDLs when both have video clips. The second EDL will give me the Trouble message until I restart SAW, then it plays correctly. It seems as though the video isn't closing correctly and releasing the codec, and the next clip finds it busy.

I'll try some tests here and see if I can duplicate the problem.
