Hi,
I was reading over the computer tweaks suggested by Bob a few weeks ago.
It was said to set both the min & max Swap file size to the same value.
I have 750 mb of ram on my machine & I was wondering what is the best value for my memory size?
I was letting Windows XP making the adjustments - though I haven't had any problems I was just checking to see if it was possible to get a little bit more performance out of my machine...

Tim,

For some real fun you could try disabling it altogether. With 750MB you should be fine (as long as you don't run a pile of applications all at the same time).

Just a thought... Otherwise I think the rule of thumb is set it to half the quantity of ram you have. Personally, when I used to set this min/max I would set it to the same size as the ram I had.

Tim,

on my (rather old) machine I have it set fixed to 500MB for years and never had a problem. You could try with a bit more but I doubt that 1 GB would improve anything.
