I know this is a long shot but is there possibly away to darken or thicken the fonts that r used to label tracks in MT view? Me eyes r gettin weak!!:p

Sorry, but not at this time... it may be time to adjust your monitor or resolution... that's a small font to fit in a small area and still give some useful information.

Have you tryed turning the "clear type" feture on in XP ?
I must admit that I am not sure if that will have any effekt
in SS.

If you are using a flat panel monitor, make sure you have your display set to the panel's native resolution and that you then use the panel's auto adjust feature to give you a pixel for pixel display... if not, your panel may be trying to scale the display across the pixels and that can cause all kinds of horrible pixel doubling and stairstepping giving small text a very ugly distorted appearance.
