Actually, I had to work today, but I've got tomorrow off.

But, happy Canada Day to all of my Canadian friends out there. Go celebrate with a burger & poutine from Harvey's, topped off with some Molson's, and think about the day we can get rid of that accursed GST!

Oh yeah, and an early happy July 4th to the Americans, and yes, in case I forget, happy Bastille Day to all the French.

You can get the New RUSH CD " FEEDBACK" At Amazon.com! Check it out.. "Summertime blues" on on radio as i type! I took my 7 yr old to his FIRST rock concet last summer and it was RUSH. I Must say the Live sound was pretty awesome, better than the album! (IMHO)

I'll chime in with 2 of my recent favorite Canadian artists:

Jorane - great artist - kind of like a French Canadian cello playing Tori Amos - except with cooler songs! - http://www.jorane.com

& to tie in the SAWStudio connection -
Danielle Hebert - whose latest CD was beautifully recorded and mixed in SAW by Perry Barrett - http://www.daniellehebert.com/

Best regards,
Steve Berson

Ummmm.... yes! What you heard was from the 1st record, at my old studio using Sonar. I feel sorry for the poor, unsuspecting world when we unleash the new, SawStudio powered album upon them.

Thanks Steve. I knew about Danielle Hebert and I'm looking forward to getting that CD. Actually I think everybody here should buy any CD that's done with Saw if only to support Saw. :D

You can check out a couple of "work in progress" mixes from Woods of Ypres here:

http://www.spectresound.ca/sound/Woods%20of%20Ypres%20-%20Sun%20part%201%20soundbyte.mp3
"The Sun was in my eyes pt. 1"

http://www.spectresound.ca/sound/Woods%20of%20Ypres%20-%20Shedding%20Clip.mp3
"Shedding the Deadwood"

These are the ones with the guitar sound I'm *real* proud of. Of course, Bob's software works so great he can even make a guy like me look like a genius!

We finished mixing last night after 15 straight hours. Ugh. Now onto mastering with that amazing Levelizer plug!
