Tone and Noise generation

What are you guys using for tone generation? I need something to feed me up sine, square and saw waves at my request... I am working on the saw mono modular ;)

Of course would also like it to sidechain a gate on a say 40-60hz sine wave to pump up some kick sounds...

Sound Forge has some simple (and more complex) wave and noise synthesis capabilities. And I haven't looked, but I think there are tons of VSTi synths out there. Must be some free ones, too.

Brainspawn makes an excellent fully automateable SAW Native tone generation plug in that can do sine waves at all freqs, white noise, pink noise and sweeps
