HDSpeed shows for me:
Writing:
Actual Average Transfer: 55,000kBytes/Sec
Read speed about the same.

My question is: why does it say 1 track(s) instead of the number of tracks possible at the above speed (shown below)
132.30Kbytes/sec transfer rates at mono 24bit
265.60Kbyes/sec transfer rates at stereo 24bit

Carl, the different guides in the message box show the required minimums for transferring x number of tracks... if you select the more track options in the menu, then you will see more information and also see your numbers start to fall as the utility starts writing and reading x number of separate files at the same time.

Definitely create a folder for these tests, because you will make a mess a files.

55,000 is a great reading... you will have no problems doing pretty dense sessions.
