Delete marked from soundfile & time remaining on drive?

Is there a "Delete Marked From Soundfile" in SS and an indicator for how much recording time is left? I found both very useful in SP.

I'm afraid the answer is "no". . . I too would like to see this feature, but quite understand Bob's reasoning for not including it.

This is now done in the MT... simply use one of the default F-Keys for a single large track, or make one of your own... then add the soundfile to the track... now you can mark and instantly delete... audition... use a softedge to smooth out the splice... even add eq or any other kind of processing and then use the BuildMix To New Soundfile to create the finished soundfile.

This is actually faster and much more versatile than the old Pro method and it does not destroy the original in the process. Of course you can delete the original when you have created the new file if you want.
