Was just leafing through ‘The Illustrated Home Recording Handbook’ (Summit Press 2004), which btw seemed well put-together with much good beginner info, and was pleasantly surprised to see on p. 312, (monochrome) screenshot of lovely gui familiar to all here. Could not find reference in text body, but caption reads: “SAWStudio is revered by audio engineers, who feel at home with its no-nonsense interface.”
