Last night I hooked up my new interfaces( an M audio FW1814 and a Behringer ADA8000 ) and went straight into my laptop 16 tracks @ 24/48 using the 5400rpm internal drive. No stutters, no lockups, no errors whatsoever. I convinced the band to try recording this way "straight in" as opposed to using my soundtracs solo24 board into my adatHD24. The sound difference was really incredible. I know the board was adding some coloration to the adat tracks but the ease of use with SAW made the session soooooo smoothe. The tracks with Saw sounded more detailed and altogether fuller.Up until then, I had only recorded a couple singer songwriter tracks(usually only 4 tracks at once) and last night I really got to test out the power within SAW. Thanks for letting me ramble... and thanks Bob for sharing a great product!:D
