RME Octamic All I need is 8 for this. 6 on drums and 2 for guitars live.

Sitting in the same room....errr garage as the band, very interesting. What do you use for monitoring? I guess you record, listen to the recorded tracks and then make adjustments ie mike placement etc before you go for the take. I have worked in similar situations with limited results usually with amatuer bands. Congrats again on turning out such great results from this method.
