Excelent drivers, quality, plenty of i/o, cheap, and expandable

I'd go for PCI, since prices are better, and it should be more stable than outboad FW/USB

Good luck

I use Motu. They make a number of interfaces. My next will probably be Lynx. I think it depend's on a number of varibles, for what is best for you. There is a lot to choose from out there. How much do you want to spend and what are you wish to record? We could start there. What's best for me, is not guaranteed to be best for you.

The RME and Sydec products have always been among the best quality and performance products since I have been writing this software.

I actually also just tested the inexpensive FW 410 from M-Audio and was pleasantly surprised at the Asio driver performance.
