I was looking at ordering another FW drive to create more space, and noticed buffer sizes as a option (8mb, 16mb)... at increased cost. The standard seems to be 2mb, and I'm not sure, but I think that's what I have on my current FW drive.
Is there any advantage to increased buffer size, or is it only noticed when attached to an older, slower computer? The drive I am looking at is 7200 rpm, and I'm not concerned with excessive track count at this time. The internal drives are also 7200 rpm.
