Midi work station

I just purchased MWS and it is locked with digiface and my Yamaha motiff 88, WOW what o cool thing MWS is, Ive been messing around learning it but I have 2 Questions,
1 Can you draw on the time line for punch in and out on MWS??
2 Can you automate the volume on midi channels ??
This thing locks so much better than cubase ever did!!!!! Yea!!!!!!!

Glad you are having fun with it.

You can mark the timeline (B and E keys or drag in the MWS timeline)... when you start playback... start it with the Rec button... it will then auto punch in the marked area.

You can draw volume automation using the pencil draw commands... right-click on the Display button for the popup menu... of course you can also record volume moves from any standard midi controller or keyboard.

In general, I wait to do automation once I place the midi sounds into the SS MT and do my mix using audio data instead of midi.

The idea... compose the midi... pick the sounds... record the midi up to the SS MT as audio... then disable the midi tracks... now you have a real audio mixing project.
