Does Saw have the ability to freeze tracks.

I think we would all like to have sufficient enough power to have everything running in Real time however we are not always that fortunate.

That would be so cool if 4.0 upgrade would have this... (Y)(Y)(Y)

Sometimes I like to freeze stuff just because of problematic plugins etc etc

SAWStudio will go a long way for live realtime mixing... many of my sessions end up easily being 40-50 tracks... with full use of the built-in eq and compressors and many DX or VST pliugs alos... but the freeze option is al ready there as the buildmix to HotTrack option... select a track and buildmix to another track... then disble or slide the new mix onto another layer... this allows you to keep the original unprocessed data as well as the new processed track.

4.0 will be adding new features to this option by allowing you to build directly to other layers as well as a few other options... but there is no need to wait... SAWStudio has always offered this option for creating processed tracks.

Bob's build mix function is, in my opinion, superior to Freeze.

Ill have to investigate this some time.

Freeze has its flaws.

Does this have something to do with being a Penquin?

I agree. Plus SAW is so CPU/RAM-friendly anyway.
