I am replacing a kik drum using a sample from a library and have found it slow and tedious , I'm finding the start of the kik and Kutting it then using the sound file of the kick I'm tabbing to the original kik then changing to the new track and inserting the new kik file repeat repeat repeat !!

Any suggestions ?
PS: I tried using the remove silence function but it does'nt get accurate enough to use.

Drumagog is one more automatic method... but I have succesfully done manual replacements pretty quickly.

Cut your new Kick drum region... leave it selected in the region view... then simply work you way down the original kick track and simply press Shift Insert at each location... the same kick region will insert and overwrite the underlying original kick.

Or do it on a clean track under the original... and simply line up your cursor and press Insert... then you have a clean kick track and you can still leak the original in for ambience flavoring.
