There were some videos on the old SAW site. I think they were done by a third party, the link took you to another site. You were sitting at a desk demonstrating different things about SAW. The one I'm looking for, you were demonstrating post production, audio for video.
Any way they can still be seen?
Thanks!

From www.sawstudio.com (http://www.sawstudio.com), click Support, then Demonstration Videos. Takes you here.

Unless I misunderstood the question.

[edit] Or didn't check to see that the video you want is there. And it isn't. [blush]

My guess is they are long archived somewhere in the ethers. They were not mine.

I do recall that there were several videos with different topics, but I confess I don't remember what they were.:o Were there others in addition to what's there now? I can't say.

I think you're refering to the QuickTime movies. There's ten of them in total, I believe. I downloaded and stored them all to the pc when I first heard about them. The video one is almost 12 meg... just a demo of how nicely it works, not an instruction video.

I will be happy to pass them along if someone can instruct me how to do it... Other than email and snail mail, I'm pretty clueless here.

Doing a quick search of the old iqsoft.com sites via archive.org revealed that the original article and Quicktime mov files are all remarkably still up on the net - you can view them at http://www.digitalprosound.com/2001/07_jul/features/saw_newprod.htm

Lots has changed in 6 years in the DAW world and to SAWStudio since then - but for the curious it indeed can be cool to see how much was already in place and to get another chance to hear Bob in person talk about his "baby."

Best regards,

Dan, if this type of file transfer need comes up again, check out yousendit.com. I often get large files from other VO talent this way. The sender uploads the file. The recipient receives an email with a download link. There are fancy features available in the pro version, but the free version works just fine.

I'll remember that. Thanks Ian for the reminder.
