I was mixing a session in SAW and a protool guy looking overhead watched as I had Itunes open Sound forge and cd architecht going. He was shocked that I could have "other audio apps going while SAW was running.
I never thought of that.
PS, was editing some ornette Coleman rehearsal tapes and SAW and vista wasn't working very well together using the built in audio card on a sony laptop

You will need to use ASIO drivers in Vista... the emulated MME is just plain useless.

Also you can't access the SAW help files in Vista.
It opens up some Microsoft garbage. :(

When using ASIO I can never use a diff app since all input/output taken.

SAWStudio will let you force the ASIO ins and outs down to any selection you want... then save the prefs... it will only use those devices.

Thank Bob.
And I think on some of Ornette's music, it might be hard to decipher if you have an audio card issue!
