I cannot change the buffer sizes in HDSP RME 9652 software without it going haywire , Up or Down same problem ??? I did de-frag my drive recently

Do you think that the RME drivers got corrupted ??? TOTAL cracks/pops any time I change settings !! If I log off and back on that helps but I still have intermittent pops !

I think that's pretty normal. Changing the buffer invokes a kind of ASIO reset. I always hear it..but it's nothing too horrible, a little pop. I suppose the question is why all the buffer changing?

Wasn't v2.94 the last to have MME?

Ah I see the NEW latest is 3.057 , I'll give that try !

The buffer changes are because as I a mixing this song the load goes up , changing the settings MADE me reboot , it only got stable after a reboot ??? otherwise pops !!!

I reinstalled 2.94 and that made no difference , I will try 3.057

yes and it seems many folks still think it's the most stable(2.94). have to go back and check that out maybe.

The ASIO reset on the RME drivers has always been a little strange compared to other card's drivers.

I have found that if you change buffer settings on ASIO with the RME card it is best to exit the program and restart so that SS engages the new size correctly.

Generally, after i change the buffer sizes, I will open the "audio device setup" and press ok by doing it twice then it works fine...

usually i just play the MT, it will not play right away, showing a dialogue saying resetting ASIO buffers (or something like that). a quick stop and then i'm good...

but I'm still curious, why all the buffer changes? it sounded like you were doing it fairly often.
