View Full Version : SSL edit bug?

Working on a sound effects project in SSL (still on 3.8a, as didn't want to update in mid-project), I tried to reverse a region and THEN move the end boundary in. Instead, the whole region moves. Is this a bug, or should I not be "allowed" to alter a region's length while it is reversed?

Maybe this is your issue?

Cary,

Do you mean the region moves in the MT, or the referenced audio data shifts unexpectedly within the region? If the latter, this is a "problem" I've brought up in the past -- one that I'd like to see worked out, but Bob says the code to make it happen is nightmarish, if I recall correctly.

The work-around is to do a build mix of the reversed audio (with extended lead and tail time to allow for boundary tweaking), then do what you will with the audio in the MT.

Or you can turn the reverse off... adjust the boundaries and then turn the reverse on again.

Good point. That could be helpful for sure.
