a couple of guys over at the sydec site have used them with success, but like Mark i cant speak German (was hoping somebody would translate;))

Don't forget you will be splitting the bandwidth and the IRQ for the slot between the cards. Not a good idea for low latency or massive numbers of tracks.

just wonteding how pci e compares to pci as i run mixtreme192 so would i loose much b/width

So would you envision problems with 24-IO using an RME hdsp 9652 only?
My fanatasy for small venue live, (amongst many), is to do this with a laptop and a firewire raid-7200 rpm-level 0, with a TI FW chipset. A setup like this should be stable to track 20-24 tracks, no?
Add to that SAC and I feed the house PA what it should have, instead of what the bartender wants!;)

In my limited Bavarian...

The ex-1010 is specially designed to add 4 more pci slots over one pci-express slot. The ex-1010 will connect with its pci express adapter card into a motherboard with a pci-express bus. My 4 uad-1 card in pci magma works flawlessly!
If it can performs like magma does, it will be a good cost effective choice..

I was really hoping someone had some experience with some of Magma's cheaper competitors.
