These steps have been VERY helpful to acheiving maximum performance on my new macbook pro.
My older (jul2006) macbook pro with bootcamp 1.1 did not need any of these tweaks.
My new (feb2008) macbook pro with bootcamp 2.0 required these tweaks for any reasonable performance.
Steps:
Disable nvidia powermizer
Disable write combing
Disable KbdMgr.exe
Disable Wlan (a quick and easy switch for this would be nice :) )
I also have best performance with processor scheduling set to background services. YMMV
