Version 4.2 does not seem to recognize older Saw Studio files.
Any ideas.

What files created in what version of SS? EDLs?

I recently stepped up to SAWStudio Full from Lite and had no problems opening EDLs I created in Lite. The channels in Full only show the max number for Lite but re-ordering clears that up and shows the full 72 channels.

I have no problems opening older edls in 4.2....
Are you speaking of older sessions?

What specifically isn't working?..... corrupt FX settings, certain template files, the edls themselves, etc.?

Larry,

There should be no problem with older SS edls in 4.2.... what exact error message do you get?

Make sure you are not trying to open an old SAWPro session... for that... you would use the Import EDL option.
