AlphaTrack/Tranzport question

Does the AlphaTrack or Tranzport allow you to choose which input device to record from ? In other words, if I have a 2 channel interface, and have armed and recorded tracks 1&2, when I want to record track 3, can I assign input 1 to track 3 using the controller, or do I have to go back to the computer to change the assignment?
