Hi All -

I'm building a new box with the latest Core Duo chip and was wondering; is there still a need to do the XP tweaks for performance? Bob had, I think, a link to a website to customize XP. Is it needed?

I would recommend that you do at least many... probably most.. and why not all? ...of the recommended tweaks if you want to get the most out of your system.

OTOH... you would probably be OK with just a few of the most primary tweaks.. like turning off automatic updates and those sorts of things.

FWIW.. I always do the majority of the recommended tweaks.

Also FWIW, I just upgraded my main DAW to the latest and fastest Core Duo CPU as well.. Whoo Hooo.. zippy di do dah! :)
