Hello all,
I am new to recording and I was wondering, "If I buy this program, what kind of hardware can/should I get with it?"
Any help is greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Nachtvolk

Hi Nachtvolk,
The usual recommendations here are to use RME or Sydek interfaces, mostly for their driver stability and good support. RME, in particular, give very good low-latency performance. Others here have also successfully used M-Audio, Echo, and perhaps less consistently, MOTU.
If you have an idea of budget, and how many channels you want, then we can make specific recommendations.

There are also several using Lynx hardware, some of which may still be available on SawBay.

Here's what I have:
Windows XP/Vista and Mac OSX
M-audio Mobile Pre
12 drum mics
10 various mics
What I need:
An interface with 8 - 12 XLR slots
My budget:
Im looking for something fairly inexpensive; however, if it is a nice piece of hardware for it price I will ponder over it.
Goal:
Record Nachtvolk's first E.P. and hopefully full length.
Thanks again for any help,
Nachtvolk

An RME Hammerfall dsp card... 1 to 3 Behringer ADA8000 mic pre/ converters.
This will give your best shot up to 24 ins and outs.
