Bob,
Thanks for the Sticky Thread re a standardized test for CPU loads. I'd like to make one other suggestion for a topic.

There are some real gems tucked away in hundreds of these posts in which users have mentioned a particular piece of hardware, plug-in or accessory that has proven to work in SAC (or SAW). I've found many interesting items - from the recent mention of www.digitalfishphones.com (http://www.digitalfishphones.com) to wireless routers to headphones to motherboards - that I would never have heard of if not for users taking the time to post about them.

I'd like to suggest a forum area where users could consolidate these suggestions and findings so as to make it easier to find information of this nature.

Regards,
Ira

That sounds like a great idea... but it would require lots of maintenance to organize and keep up with... I doubt the thread would stay on-topic after about the first 10 replies. :)

one of the forums i go on run a meta thread, system works well.

single sticky with links to other threads

each sub thread is a collection of links to relevant threads or posts that the author of the sub thread can edit as new stuff comes on line, no need for more than one sticky then
