  1. Thanks for the information... My application in terms of mics is so simple (3 mics, no effects just dynamics) I have plenty of CPU left. Where mine gets complicated is in all the different feeds and speakers that I have to deal with.

    I'll look at Electri-Q... didn't know about that one.

    I have, the ReaEq and my search for quality free VST plugins was actually what led me to try out Reaper. It's a nice EQ plugin. I haven't tried it against the Electri-Q plugin in terms of CPU use and sound quality, but I like Electri-Q's interface a little more. ReaEq has you add bands and you jump between them. Electri-Q has points, unnumbered on the curve and shows both the actual resulting curve and the individual curve of the point you're adjusting. It also has far more options for what an individual eq point will do. Both are effectively unlimited in the number of points per plugin. Bob's EQ is the most CPU efficient though, so for static system EQ that's always on I settled on it so I have more CPU left for all my goodies like reverb plugins and cabinet models.
