I'm interested in finding out how you had so far setup your Behringer X32 as a control surface for SAC. I recently got an X32 Compact and any help you could provide for settings on the X32 and SAC would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hi Mike,
I never used the ADAs with word clock, but a friend of mine uses them with WC. No problem. If you by new ADAs, you should not see a PSU failiure during the time of warranty and if you don't use them 24/7. After two, three years, the PSU are prone to fail. But there are so cheap by now, just by one more as a spare. BTW: Is the i5 a dual core CPU? That would be better for SAC. Digiface is always a wise choice.
BTW2: Können wir nicht in Deutsch schreiben? :-)

    Rock on
    Christian
  3. I'am SAC Newcomer from Karlsruhe,
I want build a little Sac System, with the following Components

    1. Notebook Core i5 2,2Ghz 4Gbyte Ram, 750 Gbyte Platte
    2. RME Digiface + HDSP PCIe Card
    3. 3 x Focuswrie Saffire pro 40

Who can tell me how about important powersupply for the AD/DA is ?
an should the all the AD/DA get a stable word clock ?
    How to made this ?

    Thank
    Mike
  4. May I ask who's digital console you are beta testing? I am looking for a large format console for a up coming tour...

    Thanks,
    Darwin
  5. :-) Now it works
A friend of mine, who coded the RemoteGain VST Plugin, did this Plugin for the Albertbox first hand. But Frank Albert and Achim (the plugin guy) couldn't agree about the "royalty". In the end, the plugin was sold to appsys. Anyway, during the negotiations Frank mentioned, that he is working on a Madi stage box. Similar to the DSB2408 but with MADi instead of ADAT. He wanted to finish this project after this summer. Don't know, how far he went with this. But maybe it is an alternative for you. I wanted to buy the DSB2408 but I would need at least two of them. In addition I don't like the ADAT stuff. That's why I went with the cheap Appsys stuff for my 24channel SAC system, but I don't know what's to buy for a serious 48/16 system...Anyway, I just wanted you to know.
    All the best
    Christian

BTW: Did you noticed the gui of a german SAC contender? ;-)
It is still in Beta, but more "live-like". Maybe you like to look into it, I'm doing
