Problem I've not had before
Hello all, I haven't been here for a couple of years!
I need your sage wisdom / experience.
Had some ram issues that got resolved. After re-seating all the ram, cards, sata cables etc, it was no longer installing my digi9652 cards.
I figured no biggie, I'll re-install. Every attempt to do so yields a "hardware not installed cannot find the correct driver files."
This is an xp system. I''m using the W2K_211 drivers. I have tried moving to different PCI slots, cleaning the registry, sourcing the drivers from the desk top, from a usb drive, doing the install from the found new hardware routine as well as from device managers reinstall routine. Always the same error message. "hardware not installed cannot find the correct driver files."
Feel free to call me an idiot when it's determined to be user error!
Has anyone seen this before and can you guide me to a solution?
TIA,
Best,
Bud

Don't install from the New Hardware or device manager. Install the drivers from direct from the Driver install disk. Not sure if the RME drivers work with the Digi version of the 9652, if so get the drivers from the RME Audio Website (otherwise you'll need the drivers that came with the card or if new ones are available from the Digi site get them there).
Re: Problem I've not had before
Thank you Philip!
The drivers from the RME site are just that. Drivers but no install .exe.
Their docs say use the found new hardware routine. I'm sure I have the original install disks, but we'd all be too old to care by the time I found them. I'm certain this is a "my computer problem" but in the interim.....
I'll look around the web more to see if I can find an image of the disk.
Unless someone has a better idea or resource. Someone must have written an installer no?

Every single driver I've looked at on the RME site is a full .exe installer.
HDSP, DIGICHECK, FIREFACE... all of them... what driver are you looking at?
Re: Problem I've not had before
Hello,
Here is the location: RME HDSP 9652 Drivers
RME Site link
This is a ZIP file, so unzip and the installer is there.
Name: rmeinstaller.exe
Re: Problem I've not had before
