RME TotalMix now remotable
You can now control ToalMix from an Ipad, Mac or pc. It works with all RME devices that support TotalMix so your good to go with your HDSP card. It's downloadable from the RME forum and there's a feature list and manual too:

Looks really cool but I haven't fooled around with TotalMix yet. Without EQ and FX it probably won't work that well as a standalone mixer. You'll need an RME interface with dedicated dsp chip if you want to use it as standalone : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfhNh4WmPso
Re: RME TotalMix now remotable
I wouldn't never mix on that...
not even if it would be the last thing on the planet!
Looks bad and sounds wrong!
Preamps are mediocre and expensive!
I would Rather use m32 rack...

My TotalMix didn't come with preamps. Did I get ripped off?
Re: RME TotalMix now remotable
:D good one....
Well...RME pre's are pricey 2k and yet sound the same as ADA8200 to the 99,9% of the
crowd gathered on the concert to watch or listen.
Sure they are remote controlable but for that money they should even mix
the show on their own.
16ch I\O @ 4000$
PCI/USB card @ 500$
Computer, Monitor, Rack, Cables....and so on.
.... to me it sounds like nightmare, plus no one will rent it!
Really, for that money there's the M32R + DL32 with cases + a laptop and you're ready to rock.

Hello,
I really think that we are missing something here....Rein stated,

Does this not simply mean that you can now perform - via TCP instead of MIDI, what you would normally do at the main system? In this regard, TotalMix would function similar to SAC Remote. - would it not?
With the FX versions, they provide EQ and compression as insert effects.
Operationwhat, "...looks bad and sounds wrong..." huh!
Does this mean that I should let a hammer fall on my "hammerfall" DSP card?
