But I should would like to know how this...

Re: OT: keyboard and mouse issues

Is the surface you are using multi-colored, or have some design on it, or texture? I've had those kinds of issues which I solved by using a solid color mouse pad.

Re: Way OT: XP network printer on Win7?

I doubt if I have more money than anybody, but Costco and Best Buy are not on my short list of places to buy computer gear for my studio.

Re: Way OT: XP network printer on Win7?

Again, my bad for getting the "other printer thread" in which you participated, confused with this one.

So how did the "Costco" purchase work out for ya? As good as the "Best Buy"? How long did...

Re: Way OT: XP network printer on Win7?

Sorry, my bad. I misunderstood and thought you were referring to a printer you just purchased.

And no, I do not buy anything at Best Buy because of their well documented horrible return policy...

Re: Way OT: XP network printer on Win7?

Don't know about Win 7, but it's the same story when putting an XP PC and a Mac on a network together. Devices like shared printers have to have the EXACT user name, password, network name, etc., or...

Sometimes you can find super deals on the Epson "refurbished" page, which is constantly evolving ... including discontinued models at a great discount.

    Re: CD Printer

Epson makes a couple of CD/DVD Photo printers and you can buy them directly from Epson for probably the same money as discount retail, or less, and with free shipping. I just saw one for $99. ...

  15. Re: Prepping live church recordings for duplication

NO. I mean of course there is, but if they are not doing it now, chances are good you will be paddling upstream trying to make this happen.

Re: OT: determining a value for used gear

I've used the pre amps before and they are super clean and transparent, and designed with classical music in mind. You can get an option for extra gain and/or impedance for ribbon mics.

Re: OT: determining a value for used gear

It's hard to find a "used" price on a piece like that because you rarely see one for sale on the used market.

Ebay only lists very "recent" completed items, so it's hard to find a reference. ...

Yep, Elastic Time can degrade the audio whereas Beat Detective doesn't.

Beat Detective is ancient history. Elastic Time has been around for about five years now, with more flexibility.
