Hi mr_es335,
All is working well. I'm still using the same gear, mostly. Did replace the motherboard of the host once.
I also no longer overclock, just run it at stock 3.2ghz. The only querk to...
SACRemote is actually here
Angie,
I just finished reading a bunch of bad reviews on Amazon. So I am looking in other directions.
Thanks,
Ned
Thank You Butch & Angie,
Angie, I don't like touch screens myself. I find a stylus much more precise.
I'm currently looking at a Asus VivoTab which has both touch & stylus.
With 1366x768...
What Tablets & or Convertible Laptops are being used as SacRemotes? I am reaching the point of buying new or at least a modern tablet or convertible laptop. I have 2 Acer Travelmate C312 convertible...
I agree, I was having wordclock sync issues last Dec. It turned out to be adat cables. They still passed audio, but not wordclock. I bought all new cables once I figured out the problem. The cables...
Mixing a comedy act tonight on my SAC rig at DAR Constitution Hall.
Using house mains & delay system with a local sound co providing monitors & subs. The dj shows up and his mixer is humming and...
After reading the whole thread, I thought of sending the tracks to two outputs at the same time. 0-1 would end up being the mix down with a levelizer set to compress using A as the key listen [peak...
Yogi, can I get a copy of those plans please?
Has anyone tried using 2241's in them? Then you can honestly say they are JBL.
Thanks,
Ned
Angie,
I read a post a few years ago when I was working on building a sac host. That stated that SAC worked better on the 2nd core of amd64 machines. I tried it and all my issues went away. I was...
Wow, George that's a powerful key, Ctrl that is. Good info to have. Note to self keep away from the [Ctrl] key when muting. Just might need to use that someday, hopefully not.
Ned
Randy,
Were your output mutes set to mute through?
Ned
Nice setup Steve, that's the way to really work SAC.
How many remotes are in use?
Are you mixing everything, or do you have someone checking monitors & mixing record for you?
Ned
I use AMD cpu's in my hosts with no problems. But the FX processors are not ready for prime time, if you check the reviews from the gamers. I use Phenom II x2 555 BE cpu's. No longer available, but...
I also use Sound-Delay http://www.voxengo.com/product/sounddelay/
it gives you control down to .01ms, good to have for time alining speaker components being crossed over or delay speakers.
Ned
I use the Dual Link/riley also, but Warning don't change the filter slope with the SAC engine live!
I have been warned that damaging noise will be the result. Possibly destroying any speakers ...
Okay from spdif out to in, I saw a 2 pin sinc out on the HDSP cards and the 3 pin ones too.
I didn't see the a 2 pin sinc in, this confused me. Maybe I should have read the manual. :o
So I had...
Ahh, Since these are my 2nd & 3rd RME cards I had never had to sinc cards together before & When at home I used the 3 wire cable that came with the HDSPe Radat.
When I got a chance yesterday to...
The default Latency setting is 255, the highest, which doesn't give anything else a chance to do their job too.
I was told on my original build that, that was my issue with dropping buffers as I...
Well basicly yes, I have all the channels I plan on using for the test, use the same stereo input that I have playback coming down. With eq on with some eq used all ch, some ch have dynamics on, some...
This is what I originally meant, I expected to use a larger buffer & did. But I didn't expect it to act fine then drop a boat load of buffers. Then act fine again. Then repeat.
I ran DPC Latency...
[quote=Naturally Digital;175955]Just to confirm, (you said the card is new) but is it an HDSP9652 as opposed to the older Digi9652?
The PCI card is a HDSP 9652, the PCIe is a 9652e RayDat.
...
yes I did plug the clock cable in, they were both running at 48k. The slaved card had its clock speed grayed out in the Hammerfall driver window.
Has anyone noticed that your buffer needs change when adding another
pci 9652 card to a host? I added a 9652 to my new host that already had a raydat
pcie card in it and it started dropping...
