    Check your File Undo path... make sure it is pointing to a legal drive that is active and online.... not an old usb drive that has been unplugged.

    Create your record settings and then close the record meters by using Ctrl-Left-Click on the close button in the top right corner of the meter window. Now the template has been created in memory......

    Yes... you can open SAWStudio32 edls into 64... but once saved in 64, you can not go back... so keep copies of the 32 bit edls if you think you need to use both versions.

    Remember... 64 needs all...

    Try Blue Cat Patchwork plugin... it plugs into SAWStudio64 and then it accepts VST 2 and 3 and other plugin formats in a patchbay style interface... seems to work fine on my testing with various VST...

    Angie... try turning on the Disable Always Ontop option in my popup menu (Blue Pyramid Icon) at the top of the plugin window.... see if that works... some plugs need that disabled to operate menues....

    The record tap for device input sources is direct from the device input... plugins will be involved in the playback portion for the overdub... really not sure if plugin latency will affect things......

    You can set input sources on tracks to a device input directly if you want to use the channel strip processing as part of the recording...

    In most cases, you are better off recording the signal...

    I am using a product called LoopMidi... it allows you to setup virtual midi ports that actlike hardware ports... they are system wide... you can use them from one program to the other as if you are...

    Unpatch the plugs and save the edl... then patch the plugs and adjust their settings and then...

    The old UltraFunk plugins sufferred from the runaway increasing processing time when the buffer data gets close to zero.... this could be causing the buffer overrun if the plugins are trying to...

    Something has bogged down the system enough to keep the buffer data from flowing and there was no data available when the soundcard called for the next buffer.

    Sometimes a usb drive may be too...

    Cary if you aretrying to use the Levelizer peak limit/normalize functions, you need to patch it post fader so the fader position does not override the Levelizer results.

    A simple way to copy track data is to mark the track begin and end including the notes you want to copy... press ctrl-c... then click on the new track destination and press ctrl-v or shift-insert.
