Re: SAC with 2 RME HDSP9652 issue

You should have the Card 1 internal SPDIF connector connected to the Card 2 internal sync connector to sync the two cards together. In a dual card configuration where the cards are synced internally,...
  2. Re: Leveizer Find Peaks suddenly runs really slow

There shouldn't be any difference between the two driver modes (ASIO and Multimedia). Also, having mismatched Input/output buffer sizes doesn't really accomplish much. The sound still has to make a...

Re: Using a compressor on the ouput

The dynamic EQ described in the link is a tool for mastering. Its not a particularly good tool for live sound, and its a really poor tool for trying to compensate for deficiencies in a live sound...

Re: Using a compressor on the ouput

The built-in EQ in SAC is already fully parametric as is the EQ plugin that comes with the software.

Re: Using a compressor on the ouput

There are plenty of 3rd party Plug-ins that work just fine. Clearly they need to be vetted for stability but there are lots that work without any issue and there is Zero reason not to use them.

    Re: SAC Control Surface Options

Been playing with a Behringer xtouch extender. Pretty easy to setup. I have it connected via a Microsoft surface touch pad computer.

Faders, mutes, channel strips all work.
  11. Re: Problem Installing Graphics Cards (Sorry for long post)

A single card will support monitors of different resolutions as long as it is designed to support more than one monitor. Try your setup with a single graphics card. I'd even go back to the single...
  12. Re: Why doesn't SAW Studio Lite remember my audio hardware?

Get yourself something like this x-keys stick and program it for the specific views you want. They make 4, 8, 16, and larger versions. Keycaps and key function are fully customizable.

    Re: Laptop Choice Recommendation

Unless your doing high-track counts or need heavy plug-in support any modern laptop should work just fine.

A high-performance gaming laptop is not really the right direction. Lots of wasted heat...
  14. Re: Why doesn't SAW Studio Lite remember my audio hardware?

My guess is your saving a named preferences file rather than "Default" preference.

You'll also likely want to save a default mixer as well.
  15. Re: New "chainer" type deal (could be very useful)

I purchased a while back, but unfortunately its been sitting untested, so no news about functionality.

Not just the screen saver. If the screen goes to sleep for what ever reason Win10 either lowers the priority of the running processes or elevates/runs some other process that will stomp on the audio...

    Re: LGA2011 builds?

12 cores doesn't buy you anything with SAW/SAC. Those extra cores will be functionally wasted.

Its also a power hog at 115W.

I'm not sure I understand the point of building a new system on...

I use SAW/SAC both in the studio and live for FOH/MON/REC and as SAC as the front end for SAW for traditional studio recording.

  24. Re: SAC new version release finally cracks Win 7, 8 and 10 performance bogdown.

Do you have the screen saver or screen blanking running. If so, that process will stomp all over the audio engine.

    Re: Dropped buffers again

In order for "Force Realtime Priority" to actually work in Win10 SAC will have to be running as administrator or you have to use a utility like "Process Lasso".

    You can manual set processor...
