is that a Lennon sketch i see up there? looks like it.
i have "The Hole of My Life."
yes, you are crazy.
Excellent story Scott, thanks.
I hope one day you can too! I have a pretty decent understanding of the basics but I am sure there are many things like this that slip by.
I don't think I expect a manual to be a how to engineer...
Actually, I don't understand, your comments are often convoluted. In this case I think you were being condescending. Possibly you are unaware, regardless it is irritating.
Take a chill pill, huh?...
It should be obvious I run SAW. Two years and I understand it pretty well so I find the comment foolish!
Welcome Yetti!
1. Absolutely!
2. Probably not but...what are you trying to accomplish?
3. You don't need too much in the way of a custom computer. Someone else will answer this in a little...
This implies you have intimate knowledge of all DAW's?
I think we are all SAW fans here but come on........
Bob, would I find these steps in the manual? I have not so far, where should I look?
Thanks
That is the method I use and I think it is the fastest.......
Thanks Veit. Sounds pretty cool and yeah, a few features do sound like Acid. I am a loyal Saw user too and do not plan on switching apps. But I like to know a bit about other apps and what they are...
Veit, I am not too familiar with Ableton. I guess I thought it was just another recording app. What is different about it that you like?
Thanks
patch the plug into track 1 and record on track 2 (with the input zone pointing back to track 1)... Track 2 will then record whatever signal is on track 1.
I am not in the position to do that. I hope if someone does have time to explore they will explain what they find "better" about it.
I have all of the plugs I need, and probably then some, so I am...
Yeah, I remembe you saying this before but.............I just can't hear the difference you do. I think Pristine Space is good, but not better than.
I have the POD XT Pro and have thought many times.......I'd like to have this on software. But yeah, $199 for owners of the hardware, I'm not paying that!!
They did.
I spent some time today with a friend who has Altiverb. It's interface is exceptional. It has a few features that set it apart. But when all was said and done Altiverb did not sound...
The microphones used, placement of mics, halls selected, and skill/
equipmnent of the engineer all have an effect on the impulse. If you don't find the programs you have to purchase sound better...
It sounds like you have not listened to any Convo verbs? Maybe that would be a good starting point?
Or, is the argument; digital is 1's and 0's so all software recording programs
sound the same?...
The FCC has banned these impulses from any and all live broadcast! :p
I have the Waves IR1. I can tell a big difference in the quality compared to SIR (free) or Convolution Boy (free). The Waves has a richer sound, better tails, and great theaters to select from. Yes,...
O.K............Who is making a living in the audio industry? Or, who is making a living with their DAW? Yeah, that's the ticket, who is making a living with their DAW? :)
I probably should have posed the ? differently. But you have it right, who is making a living in the music business. No subsidies from another job, just a living in the music field.
From this I...
I thought I would see about 10 to 1. The 1 being the full time, only job I have, musician. I am not sure those are the numbers here so far but ....it is not a scientific poll.
I think hobbyist...
