Wow. Trying to piece the history together.
    Compuserve and BBS's.
    SAW 1.0 on a floppy.
Card D from "Bananas at Large"
Service call talks with Etienne. What a great guy. RIP.

  3. Re: Is anyone using Source Connect with SAWStudio?

Because it***8217;s not my first rodeo... LOL... Specifically,
They were shuttling the PT session from their end. It was starting, stopping, shuttling etc. Not really possible to run a linear track....
  4. Re: Is anyone using Source Connect with SAWStudio?

Here is an update. I got Source Connect Pro. Better bit rates than the less expensive version.

We are on the last of 6 days of recording NatGeo specials with two post houses in London.

  5. Is anyone using Source Connect with SAWStudio?

We are getting more and more requests for Source Connect sessions from prospective clients on the east coast and Europe. It does seem to favor Mac and ProTools. Are any of you using it? Helpful...

  8. Re: Sliding/dragging tracks forward by a fixed amount

Could you create a blank/silent audio file of that length, then insert it before the region?
I may not be grasping the whole picture of what you're trying to do.

Re: OT: the current state of telephone hybrids

I've been using a JK Innkeeper for years. I think it was about $800 (with a little dialer box attached). Cancellation is really good. Solid as a rock. Has options for ducking the caller, auto-answer,...

Sorry about the delay, but YES! It worked. Thank you so much!!
  11. Re: Nice freeware LUFS meter - and mastering for new level standards for streaming au

    Hi Steve!
I stumbled upon this today, but can't get it to work correctly. I put it in the SAW VST folder, and it opens up fine (using the 32 bit version).
I have it on Device 1 output channel,...

    Re: Audio engineer guitar players...

Iím a bit surprised that people not wanting to color a guitaristís sound would actually take his amp out of the equation. Thatís much bigger of an issue than mic selection or placement. If he has a...

Re: AUX: A Scenario and a Question

Wet and dry mix would be if you were patching an effect directly into a channel, and EVERYTHING was going through this, like on a guitar stomp box. You just want a little reverb.
    For Bus effects,...

    Re: Tape Saturation?

Kids today actually have a nostalgia for cassettes. Mixtapes ONLY ON CASSETTES are a cult interest. So they're actually nostalgic for something they never experienced in real life.

    Fun stuff...
