Unfortunately for some of us, some of these extra features are necessary to continue working with the outside...
Very exciting!
We don't know what the latency is yet actually.
They also advertised that the 192 had amazing latency specs, yet it turned out to be one of the worst RTLs of any modern interface.
They may yet...
Are you guys that are using VMs capable of getting multi-channel I/O in?
I use SAW via boot camp on macs relatively frequently, but it'd be nice if I could get in via a VM.
I'm curious what the current suggestion is for SAWStudio regarding buffer settings.
Given the choice, is it usually better to lean towards a larger buffer size or a larger multiplier?
That's great and all... but how many times are you installing SAWStudio that this matters in the slightest?
If I were a potential user, I'd be kinda weirded out that someone was touting how fast...
I don't know about anyone else, but I get new things not because of GAS, but because I'm always looking to improve what I can put out and how quickly I can do quality work.
There are a lot of new...
F-keys are also a huge one.
I use the equivalent feature when I work in other DAWs, and I've still never found anything that is as responsive as SAW.
With the fastest other DAW I know of with...
I know most all of us use other A/V software in conjunction with SAW, so I sit here wondering what feature(s) that are unique in SAW that you'd like to see elsewhere?
For me, the pop-up faders are...
I don't get what the issue is either.
Perhaps the lack of demand is part of why they feel it necessary to charge so much?
You can get an FMR RNC on ebay for $100-$150.
It's about as nice as you can possibly get in that price range IMO.
One thing you can do is to either use mouse acceleration, or use a mouse that has built-in DPI adjustment (such as a switch to a lower DPI). I use...
Personally I'm very interested in this because of the way gain is handled.
The control app is operated via a browser, so you can adjust the gain on the device via a tablet or phone (or computer...
This tool still works very well: http://www.efofex.net/software.html
IMO it's a must-have if you use any other audio software on the same system as SAW.
It's not free, but http://www.liquidsonics.com/software_reverberate.htm is by far my favorite reverb plug-in currently.
The price is very reasonable (about $80usd), it's very feature-filled with a...
When you open the plug-in there should be an 'activate' button. That button should open a website.
I did try a couple other plug-ins as well with direct hyperlinks, and they seem to work fine.
...
For instance, the Focusrite plug-ins have an 'activate' button that should open your default browser so you can activate the plugins.
You can download a demo to try here:...
I'm having trouble activating plugins from Air Instruments and Focusrite that require that the plug-in open a browser window for activation.
I will email their support to see if there's an...
I switch between 3 keyboard layouts frequently through out the day... I frequently have lapses :D
I think you have it backwards. He sped up the loop by 1%. That's a increase of 1.35bpm, putting the new loop at 136.35bpm. Just do: (x / 100) * y. Where x is your percentage, and y is the original...
My response is: it's not possible for everything to be equal, but if that somehow happened... no difference at all.
If there's some issues that affect the actions that the engineer takes when recording then sure, but that applies to anything. Someone walking up to the engineer and asking what his favorite sandwich...
I've had some luck with LG products, but purely by accident.
Pretty much, you have to sit there and browse through tons of reviews to find something decent. I mostly focus on the negative reviews,...
Plextor has been garbage for just around 5 years now.
It's quite unfortunate. :(
