Problems here with my system and I'm completely clueless what to do next - can anyone pitch in? Please?
I'll try and make it a short story:
18 months ago I got a new PC; i5 2.8 Win 7 32 bit,...
Hi Folks - OP here.
Just to clarify, yes I will have a dedicated other machine for day to day business stuff. I'm not on a tight budget and I'm just looking for a rock solid system that gets me...
Hi all
Well I'm about to do what I always should have done. I'm getting a new bare bones PC dedicted to audio recording and editing and nothing else. No email, no internet, no games, no...
I'll see what else I can disable. If nothing works looks like I'm heading for a wipe and re-install of Windows etc
Oh dear - this fault went away for a while and now it's happening again maybe two or three times a day.
Basically I'm usually playing back and editing, then I lose all audio and get the message...
Thank you!
Is it possible to lock two or more tracks on the multitrack together so that a cut and remove on one track makes the same cut and remove on the one below it and so on? I want to keep the position of...
Oh! That'll be why I can't remember it then. I could have sworn I used one years ago - maybe it was a SawPlus thing?
I've obviously maimed and mangled far too many brain cells because I've forgotten the shortcut keyboard command for "Build Mix to New Sound File".
Did have a quick scout through the manual but...
Bob done it! I think.....
Replaced the onboard Firewire port with a pci(?) card and it's been behaving beautifully for the past hour - so fingers crossed!
I think I'll go ahead with the wipe...
First thing I did was reload the driver. Even tried an earlier version just in case. No good.
I'm thinking of a wipe and re-install with Win 7 64.
Just lately I've been getting this problem - and way too often. I'm using a Fireface 800, latest drivers, SS on Win 7 which has always been rock solid up to now.
Now and then for no apparant...
Thanks all - singer wants his own hp mix
Help please!
I normally use SS for making radio commercials, so this kind of routing doesn't normallt come up - here's the question:
I have someone singing to a backing track on SS. I'd like...
I used to loathe TotalMix - couldn't get my head round it. Then one day it clicked and I actually can't believe how easy it is. Could be better of course. But the RME stuff is rock solid with Saw.
Well it's worth a try Bob. Can you remind me how to do the .ini link thing please?
I give up!
Did a complete unsinstall. Deleted any rogue dlls and then installed over again. Did the shell2vst trick and hey presto, the dlls are in the SawStudio folder. Tried to plug one and...
Thanks yes it is.
And I'm 32 bit here.
I'm going to try a complete unsinstll/re-install tomorrow.
If that doesn't work someones going to get an ebay bargain.
A fair assumption but no I checked the created by date....
They turn up in SoundForge - in both the Waveshell and as separate VSTs..... hmmmm
Found them. Copied the dlls to Sawstudio/vst plug ins folder.
Great. SS sees them - Yaaaaay!
Now to patch one in.
Oh bugger!
Saw diaplays message "Trouble connecting plug in"
Part way there. Thanks for your help everyone. I saw the Shaell2vst pop-up window display and it created some files. Great. Progress. Now all I have to do is find the new dlls. Why is that not easy?!...
Argh! Still frustrated by this. I think somewhere I missed a meeting because I just know I'm missing a step.
So I've downloaded shell2vst.
After un-installing, I've done a fresh install of...
Thanks Greg
I'm about to try exactly that. Will report back!
