Hardware has far outpaced DAW needs, I use a 2010 Mac Pro with 128GB RAM, and everything runs great. The main thing nowadays is RAM, VST's use a lot of it and most modern CPU's have no problem...

I bought Wave Platnuim 4.0 and installed them all in DX format for SawSrudio worked great back then and even now.

Sound treatment behind the speakers is a well known must do and I have done that.

I monitor from my QU-16 to Stereo Monitors and a Mono monitor and headphones. My TV/Monitor is set behind the Speakers so it has no effect on my speakers.

SawStudio is great but I do not understand the purpose of Menu Dialogs running outside of the program when all these programs have the Menu Dialogs in them and keyboard shortcuts to do things already.

Audio plays from the computer into my QU16 out of my XP computer

I use a 43" TCL Smart TV as my monitor works great, but I run SAW in XP still on a video card that only does 1080 x 1920 HD which is good for me.

I have an Allen & Heath QU-16 in my studio and have owned a Presonus mixer. The Allen & Heath are far more easier to run and understand IMHO.
