    Re: Windows 8

Layla24 still. Most of the plugins I have used/purchased are 64 and 32 bit. I had to export most of my SAW tracks into Reaper. I use IKM stuff, SGear, Kuassa and a few others.

    Win7 drivers most of...

    Re: Windows 8

I dont understand all the unlove for the Win8. Been using it now for a year with no issues. I stopped using SAW and use Reaper now as the explorer plays nicely with IKM A3. I have zero complaints...

Re: OT: PCI vs USB, or Lynx vs RME

Re: 64 bit and SAW Native Plugins

I have been running Win8 for a while now on 64 bit. I run Reaper on it at 64 bit with no problems. I have all my IK stuff and SGear running on it. I also have SAW installed for backward compatibility...

  7. Re: OT: sharing ethernet and phone on a single cat5 cable?

I would put in what is newest as well. There is a cost difference if you buy at Best Buy but surf web for cabling. If you have long drops make sure length is desired or make own ends.

    Re: Windows 8

Some tweaks you see on web in registry for turning off the Metro do not work, install classic shell.

Tweaks are not necessary for things to work. I turn off unnecessary things. I also did the...

    Re: Windows 8

Sorry to see you hate it. It took a lot of tweaking but Win8 is rock solid here.
List: Scheduled Tasks, Services, Startup, Driver support, app support, normal BobL Win7 tweaks. Mine boots at 500MB...
  10. Re: OT: sharing ethernet and phone on a single cat5 cable?

Gbit is rarely needed on networks. So if you have 12mbps download speed on internet why on earth would you need Gbit. On any network as long as you are not exceeding 50% utilization you are in no...
  11. Re: Advice On Tracking With USB Interface With Guitar Plugins

It was just recently that I pointed out for like the 4th time to Echoaudio about Layla24 that I wanted to NOT hear the guitar and the plugin. They had replied to mute the input on the console. This...

Re: dual boot win xp/ win 8

    Re: USB Interface SAWStudio Friendly

From what I read you are correct. The USB or Firewire cannot be imported at 100% level. One must back off the import to negate noise. This might be untested blather from myself but since my card is...

    Re: Good guitar plugins

I'll get kicked for sayin it but the Amplitube 3 doesn't have the issues in Reaper that it does in SAW. All presets surf properly. No issues or delay buildups.

    Re: Windows 8

Win8 has also been my best experience of a new OS. The IE10 is awesome. The system...

    Re: OT: virus protection, etc

Buy Acronis for $35 as it works with Windows 8 too. Image your C: drive to another drive and the one you use, remove Acronis from. It needs have you reboot and then begins the imaging.
