    Re: Help With Pinouts?

John, I just downloaded the main manual for that board from the ASUS site, found the q-code, took a screenshot (which I saved to my photo album on my phone), launched my q-reader and it lets you...

Re: Win 10 graphics not snappy

Great, thanks everyone for your contributions.
If everyone else is happy then it’s just my setup, which is fine. I wasn’t planning to run Windows on a Mac as the long term solution.
    Thanks...

    Re: PreSonus StudioLive Series III

I'm late to the party on this, but as I've been using Presonus Studio One since I stopped using SAW, I've kept a close eye on Presonus and their control surfaces.

    Don't believe anything they...

Re: Win 10 graphics not snappy

The AMD Radeon R9 M370X in this machine is specific to Apple in terms of its configuration, GPU speed etc. So only the Apple driver is appropriate.
I'm not really looking to troubleshoot my setup....

Dell, the driver installation process is the same except for the fact that Apple provide one massive ‘bootcamp’ driver file download (“bootcamp support files” in Apple parlance) which...

    Thanks Michael.

Do you get the same behaviour on Waves plugs if you use another DAW (Reaper perhaps)?

Re: Win 10 graphics not snappy

Why? It serves no purpose and is not relevant to the graphics discussion.

No, I don't have a PC at the moment and won't invest in one if I'm not happy. I've been an all-Mac shop since I...

Re: OT: Windows 10 Versioning Schemes

You may want to consider Win10 LTSC (Long Term Servicing Channel) if you want to avoid compulsory updates.

Re: Win 10 graphics not snappy

Thanks Dell. All those settings were in place (very similar to XP tweaks) with the exception of USB which isn’t relevant as I’m not using USB disks or interfaces.

    Anyone else care to comment,...

    Win 10 graphics not snappy

So far I've only had the chance to test SAW64 (demo version) on Win10 on a bootcamp Mac. I noticed that the F-key transitions were very sluggish. On XP and Win7 they were instant - it was one of the...

    Re: re-sizing mixer view SSL

None of this is answering the OP's question.
I recognise the problem but I can't remember what causes it to happen - something to do with the background area not being maximised.

    Perhaps a...

    Re: SSL play buffer overrun

You may get better performance if you change your buffer settings to 2x128 or something similar but different to 6x64.

Other than that, buffer overruns are normally due to disk speed. Are you...
  15. Re: New machine considerations - usb3.1 to firewire

Thunderbolt is not part of the USB-C spec. You can buy MoBo's with USB-C ports which do not support Thunderbolt. If you want tales of woe regarding incompatible boards, pop over to the UAD forums to...

Freeverb is, well, free. 64 bit version available. Been around for years, very usable.

Re: Updating Shades: 32-Bit to 64-Bit!

I would certainly like an updated (i.e. 64 bit) version of pipenite but I can’t remember who created it or whether it was chargeable.

    SAW64 with UAD and/or Thunderbolt

Since I was last here I've bought heavily into UAD including Thunderbolt attached devices (on a Mac).

Before I 're-invest' $700 to get SAW64 upgrade, MWS and Levelizer, I would love to hear who is...

  25. SAWStudio Store is hijacked and/or dead!

    Hello again everyone!

Having stumbled across the news of a 64 bit version of SAW on the way, I went to have a look at how much SAW is now selling for (to see if I could guess how much the upgrade...
